MEETINGS ARE SAFE

GLOBAL MEETINGS INDUSTRY DAY 2021

April 8 is the Global Meetings Industry Day. Italialive is ready to collectively celebrate it with our peers from around the globe during our online event from 3pm to 4:30pm CET.

With the participation of all the Italialive associates, we come together to recognize the importance of our sector in every field. "Meet Safe" and "Meetings are Safe" are the underlying themes of the event during which we will present case histories and studies on safe events and share new protocols for the restart of the industry.

A memorable touch to the event will be the video on the true essence of the meetings & events industry, a colorful contribution of many industry professionals and celebrities who have worked together to tell our story through voices and images.

Alessandra Albarelli

Alessandra Albarelli

Alessandra Albarelli is the General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi SpA, the exhibition and congress centre in Trentino. She has held positions in destination marketing and has professional experience in company management, oriented towards business development and strategic plans. Since 2107 he has been Managing Director of REbuild S.r.l., a group company that deals with communication and events dedicated to innovation and sustainability in construction.

Albarelli is President of Federcongressi&eventi, the association of the Italian meetings industry.

In the past Alessandra Albarelli, as a business owner in the non-hotel accommodation sector, was the founder of the Consorzio di promozione turistica Verona Tuttintorno (Verona Tourism Promotion Consortium), of which she was Director for many years, before starting up collaboration with Riva del Garda Fierecongressi SpA.

Giorgio Palmucci

Giorgio Palmucci

Giorgio Palmucci is the Chairman of ENIT - the Italian Tourism Agency. As an experienced former manager in the private sector he was keen to rise to the challenge of chairing ENIT, and to serve the the tourism sector in a public capacity.

His career in tourism began as a young man and he was soon given positions of responsibility with multinationals such as Club Med, where he was the General Manager for Italy and Eastern Europe. He then joined the General Management Committee for Europe. After leaving Club Med he was appointed CEO and General Manager of Hotelturist S.p.A., a hotel chain operating in Italy under the TH Resorts banner, creating the brand and overhauling the company’s organization.

As a founding member of the Italian trade associations for tourism and travel, he joined the Board of Directors of the Italian Association of Hotel Chains and the tour operator arm of Confindustria, the Confederation of Italian Industry.

Giusi Legrenzi

Giusi Legrenzi is a journalist, radio host, communication consultant and trainer on the profitable use of the voice.
Cultural contamination is her philosophy of life, "less is more" is her motto.

She considers the space of infinite knowledge an excellent place to spend her time: to browse through works of art in the museums of the world's cities, to read texts in other languages, for an unorganized trip, to get passionate about the latest trend from the States or Shanghai, to taste food and wine, to meet, chat and laugh. She completes her activity by conducting events, shows and moderating talk shows, seminars, meetings, conventions.

Ilaria Da Frassini

Ilaria Da Frassini

Ilaria Da Frassini is Head of the Congress and Corporate Department of Firenze Fiera Spa, the company that manages the Florence congress & exhibition centre: Fortezza da Basso, Palazzo dei Congressi and Palazzo degli Affari.

She has been working in the MICE sector for over 15 years with skills ranging from the management of corporate conventions to the organization of national and international medical-scientific congresses.

For the past three years she has been managing the Congress and Corporate Department heading a close-knit and high-profile team.

Jorge Rubio Navarro

Jorge Rubio Navarro

Jorge has been the Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in Rome since September 2017, after holding the same position in Toronto and Chicago.

Jorge has a long experience in the tourism sector and in particular in information and communication systems and technologies, and has directed in Turespaña the design and development of the Spanish tourism website www.spain.info.

Lorenza Bonaccorsi

Lorenza Bonaccorsi

After graduating in Economic History at the State University of Milan, Lorenza Bonaccorsi earned a Master’s in European Public Relations and two specializations at the Scuola Superiore di Amministrazione Pubblica e degli Enti Locali in Rome.

From 1997 to 2013 she was the Lazio Region’s Head of Institutional Relations and Relations with the European Union, and a manager of the Music Foundation for Rome. In 2006 she headed the Political Secretariat of the then Communications Minister, Paolo Gentiloni.

Between 2013 and 2018 she served as an MP for the Democratic Party, participating in the activities of several Parliamentary Committees: Transport; Digitization; Culture, Science and Education, and lastly of the Supervisory Committee for the Italian state broadcaster RAI.

From March 2018 to August 2019, she was the Councillor for Tourism and Equal Opportunities of the Lazio Region and, subsequently, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.

Luca Stabile

Luca Stabile

Luca Stabile was born in Cassino on 31/05/1981. On 07/06/2006 he obtained, with honors, the degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale and in the same year he qualified as professional engineer in the field of Industrial Engineering. In 2010 he obtained the title of PhD (XXII cycle) at the School of Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Cassino, defending a thesis entitled "The characterization of aerosol for the assessment of human exposure".

Luca Stabile is Associate Professor at the Department DICeM of the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale (scientific disciplinary sector ING-IND/11 - Environmental Technical Physics) and he carries out scientific activities in the following research topics:
i) the estimation of air quality in indoor and outdoor environments,
ii) the ventilation of confined environments
iii) metrological characterization of instrumentation for the measurement of airborne dusts
iv) environmental impact assessment of waste-to-energy conversion systems.
He is author of more than 80 publications on peer-reviewed journals.

Luca Stabile has been involved in several conventions/research projects in the field of airborne dust exposure monitoring and pollutant emissions. He is currently the local manager of European EMPIR projects on aerosol metrology for atmospheric science and air quality (16ENV07 AEROMET I and 19ENV08 AEROMET II).

Luca Stabile has been a visiting researcher at the Co-Laboratory for NanoParticle Based Manufacturing and Metrology of the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA (January-July 2008) and at the Office of Mine Safety and Health Research, CDC - National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Pittsburgh, PA (USA) on the topic "Dust and Diesel particle measurements" (August-October 2012). He also collaborates actively with several national and international research institutes.

building bridges in the live communication industry

Founder/Managing Director, LiveCom Alliance & Managing Director, IDEA (Independent Dutch Event Association)

Maarten Schram established LiveCom Alliance in 2016 as a non-profit foundation on the believe that the live communication industry deserves a pan-European approach and audience, and would benefit from an overarching dedicated yet independent institution. Today, serving twelve national organizations (participating associations) and affecting over 1.0000 leading agencies and companies (associated members) around Europe.

Maarten thrives the pan-European industry creating a stronger, more sustainable and more interesting playing field by introducing the first pan-European Code of Ethics (2017) and first pan-European Pitch Guidelines (2018). Furthermore, he publishes the European Industry Survey yearly.
The LiveCom Alliance European Industry Survey aims to capture the major trends and economic impact drivers for the live communication industry in the world’s biggest free trade area. Following the 2019 edition, also the 2020 edition will be executed by the renowned market research institute RIFEL, an important step towards building a comprehensive overview of this important industry and creating an after “corona” fixing point for the industry. 

Maarten is also managing director at the Independent Dutch Event Association (IDEA), the association for Dutch leading event agencies.
Since he graduated from the InterCollege Business School in The Hague, he is working in the event and live communication industry for 25 years.

Maarten is also jury member and involved in the advisory board of several national and international awards and events.

Thijs Peters

Thijs Peters

Thijs Peters has worked in the MICE industry for over 15 years. Currently he is Director of Sales for Postillion Hotels & Convention Centres, that organized the first 1,5m congress in The Netherlands about the future of the MICE Industry (NXTMICE). 

He is President of MPI The Netherlands Chapter and as such member of the board of Eventplatform in which all major associations in the event industry participate to stimulate the reopening of the Event and Meeting Industry in The Netherlands.

Tiziana Nisini

Tiziana Nisini

Tiziana Nisini was born in Pavia on October 18, 1975; she was elected on 4 March 2018 to the Italian Senate in the country’s XVIII Legislature, on the Lega-Salvini Premier slate; this is in her first term in Parliament.

Since 28 March 2018 she has served as Secretary of the Senate. Tiziana Nisini is also a member of the Senate Library and Historical Archives Committee, the 11th Standing Committee (Public and Private Employment, Social Security), the Parliamentary Committee of enquiry into illegal waste disposal and environmental offenses, and the Parliamentary Committee of enquiry into child abuse at the "Il Forteto" community.
